Let's Build Something Meaningful Together

Whether you've got a sketch on a napkin or a fully fleshed-out vision, we'd love to hear what you're thinking. Seriously, grab a coffee and let's chat about how timber and smart design can bring your project to life.

Want to Schedule a Proper Consultation?

If you'd rather book some dedicated time to walk through your project in detail, we've got a scheduler set up. Usually runs about 45 minutes to an hour, and we can do it at the studio or virtually - whatever works.

Questions People Usually Ask

Before you reach out, maybe we've already answered it here

Honestly, it varies a ton. A consultation might be a few grand, while a full residential design could run anywhere from $25K to $100K+ depending on complexity. Commercial projects are a different beast altogether. Best thing? Let's talk about your specific needs and we'll give you a realistic number.

Nah, we just really love it. Timber's our specialty because it's sustainable and beautiful, but we're not dogmatic about it. Sometimes concrete, steel, or other materials make more sense for a project. We go where the design takes us, but we'll always push for sustainable choices when possible.

For a residential project, figure 3-6 months from first meeting to construction-ready plans. Commercial stuff can stretch longer, especially if there's permitting drama. Heritage restoration? Could be a year+ because those projects need serious care and historical research. We don't rush good design.

Absolutely. We've done projects across BC and even a few in other provinces. Site visits might cost a bit extra, but video calls and modern tech make remote collaboration pretty smooth these days. As long as we can coordinate with local engineers and contractors, we're good.

That's exactly what our consultation service is for. We can review existing plans and suggest modifications for better energy efficiency, material choices, or passive design strategies. Sometimes small tweaks make huge differences. We love this kind of work because the impact-to-effort ratio is fantastic.
